AASI Standards of Practice are the result of our member working groups ideas, peer reviewed literature reviews and concepts that AASI believes important for AAIs including each category of animal assisted activities, animal assisted therapy, animal assisted education and animal support handlers, trainers and instructors.

They have been designed to provide guidance as a minimum of what is needed to conduct an AAI program for Animal Assisted Services International (AASI) members. They are meant to be used in conjunction with AASI competencies and as partial preparation for AASI accreditation.
