The development of guidelines for the education and ongoing CPD required for all those considering working in AAS- ‘provider education’. I am part of the IC-AAS (International Consortium- Animal Assisted Services) a collaboration between AASI and IAHAIO which began several years ago at an IAHAIO Virtual Conferences during the Covid pandemic. The group is comprised of experts in the field from all over the world, who work with different species, and in all realms of AAS, who have examined existing guidelines in AAS from around the world, along with current research focused on ensuring optimal wellbeing for both the animals and people in AAS.

 I will be able to update at the meeting on our progress to date and with an idea of when the guidance and associated publications will be likely to be release.
